The Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona attracts more than 2,300 companies and hosts 100,000 telecoms professionals viewing the latest mobile and technical advances. Gallowglass has provided significant support to MWC for over a decade and continues to do so.
Indeed, we have a few of our own highlights…
Google and Android with Brand Fuel. We assisted and built 3 locations – two internal (497.6 sq m) and the external Android Global Village. These were completed with 77 crewmen, 2 forklift operators, 1 scissor lift operator, 213 shifts and 1861 hours. Huawei technologies with Creative Technology Spain. 74 crewmen and two forkies covered 288 shifts and 2445 hours at the Palau Sant Jordi and a number of other locations across the city, distributing and assembling AV positions, lighting rigs etc. Verizon for Nth Degree. 862 Sq m stand build using 47 crew, 2 forkies and a scissor lift operator. Between them they covered 243 shifts and 2159 hours. More specifically, qualified crew worked at height to assemble signage and install the audio and visual elements. Sony, Ericsson and Ooredoo with Jack Morton Worldwide. 59 crew delivered 201 shifts and 1407 hours. Work included loading in and setting-up of stands, moving large volumes of furniture around the building, resetting spaces for press conferences before finally completing the strike and load-out.
In addition, for the organisers, we also set up the MWC Main Auditorium in Hall 4 of the Fira, for the GSMA Conference. This was an enormous 7,980 sq m space hosting some of the exhibitions largest gatherings.
Results
ALL targets were met and ALL work was completed early. 110 Crew used. More than 10,000hrs worked. 25 different delighted clients. 44 separate Jobs. 17 Venues.
