We wanted to be able to let you know through the app when maintenance is going to happen so you get an idea of what is going on or when you may have an issue accessing the app due to planned updates. These appear on the main dashboard.

We also expanded the concept to allow you to make announcements to your team (or even an individual in your team). These announcements will appear on the main dashboard along with any Admin Announcements.
Click on the Manage Announcements link on the dashboard.
Click on Create a Team Announcement
Fill in the date range you want the message to appear for. Give it a headline and enter the message. Tick the “Is Live” box and pick the people who should see it (just tick “Select All” if you want everyone in your company to see it who logs in to the app). By using date ranges and the “Is Live” tick box you can re-use messages if you want to.
The list of people you will see are only those individuals within your organisation with an active app login.
Click Save and you are all done.
The message scrolls on the dashboard along with any active admin announcements.
Sometimes you need to get some information out to the team working on a job. This allows you to pin that message to a specific job. They are created from the Active Jobs page.
They then appear on the bookings summary for that job along with all the bookings as a scrolling red banner. Clicking on the announcement takes you to the message detail.
We also added in the ability to share that announcement with our Crew App so it will appear for our crew as well on their app when they look at the job info. Just tick the "Share with the crew app" box when creating the announcement.
Please bear in mind that a last-minute announcement may not get seen. We are looking at adding pop-up notifications and these will be coming in the future.
We understand that sometimes there is a bit of info that effects just a particular booking on a particular day (e.g. a different meeting point in a large venue).
Each booking on the booking summary screen has a Create Announcement button.
The announcement appears on the Booking Details screen. This allows you to share info relevant to each individual booking. Clicking on the announcement takes you to the message detail.
Just like job announcements, they can be shared with the Crew App so the Gallowglass Crew you have requested can be made aware as well.
Please bear in mind that a last-minute announcement may not get seen until it is too late, especially if you add it during the shift. We are looking at adding pop-up notifications and these will be coming in the future.
